If you own a pair of regular Sea-Lect Kayak Foot Braces but want to upgrade to use a rudder, this kit will give you all you need to convert your regular foot braces to the Rudder Control type.

Included in this kit are the rudder control footpads shown above as well as the tension adjusters shown below circled in red. The footpads are easily substituted for the stationary footpads on standard Sea-Lect footbraces by removing the mounting stud, sliding the old pad off and sliding the new pad on.

Glue-on or Through Studs?

You will need to tell us what type of mounting stud you have as the tension adjusters are different for the two types. The through studs use a tension adjuster with a hexagonal recess for the nut. Glue-on studs require an adjuster that is flat on top so that the nut can be tightened from the inside.
