 When
we were building our Ladybug
sailing dinghy, we wanted to build a really great cockpit
tent. We figured that if we could get some of the segmented
fiberglass poles like they use in the lightweight popup
tents you see these days, we could really make something
nice. We finally found a kit that fit the bill in the StanSport
catalog and now we are able to offer these poles to you.
These kits are intended to be used as replacements for backpack
type tents, but we won't tell if you use one for a custom
bimini, cockpit tent, sail batten, or whatever. Use your
imagination.
The 11mm dia poles are almost 1/2 inch in
diameter and are quite stiff. they could be used for booms
on sailing canoes or other small boats.

Attached is a picture of tent poles temporarily set up in a Wooboto. Maybe you can use for online catalog. If memory holds up, I'll send fotos of tarp tent using these poles in a couple weeks/months.
We were going to launch the wooboto this Wednesday, but w/climate change 30 knot winds forecast. So will likely delay a day or so to avoid problems.
