These kayak rudder gudgeons were designed and manufactured exclusively for Duckworks by the nice folks at Race-Lite. It makes it possible to mount a standard kayak rudder, such as the Sea-Lect TruCourseT Rudder, on just about any kayak. We have one gudgeon for boats with a flat transom and another model for kayaks with pointed sterns.
In the photo below, you can see how the rudder fits in the Flat Transom Gudgeon assembly. The two parts are mounted on our Imresboat as shown with four #8 round or pan head screws.

In the next photo a Pointed Stern Gudgeon is mounted on a typical production kayak (in this case a Phoenix Isere). The tangs on these parts are somewhat flexible so that adjustments can be made at the time you install the gudgeon on your boat.
