Matt Langenfeld
Launched in 2003, JEM Watercraft aka Matt
Langenfeld has been turning out canoes and kayaks - and plans
for them - ever since. With designs inspired by Verlen Kruger,
and refined by his own experiences on the water, Matt has
dozens of field tested designs under his belt. It doesn't
hurt that he is an Engineer with an MBA.
Matt draws inspiration from a statistics
professor he had in college when writing the detailed instructions
in his plans. "He wrote the very book we used in class.",
Matt relates. "His book was a total hand-holding experience
that took you through the calculations and software step by
step in simple-to-understand language. Learning in this manner
made that tough subject easy and a little enjoyable."
