David has been designing and building boats for over fifteen years. When he isn't building or designing boats for other people, you'll find him using the boats he's designed and built for himself. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, he has written extensively for boating magazines such as WoodenBoat Magazine, Boatbuilder and Duckworks.

In addition to the designs offered here (more to come), Dave has produced a really fine DVD boat building manual. A copy comes with each set of plans, or you can buy your own disk - it is a great instructional aid for Stitch and Glue, Lapstrake ply construction, and general boat building. Professionally produced, this DVD will teach you a lot.
