The lovely example by Andy Somerville.
This canoe is an adaptation
of our Waterman 16 Mk2 open canoe requested by a client who
wanted a lightweight craft which he could easily car top and
which would safely take a small outboard motor to use for
fishing and camping. Her beam has been widened to 44"
giving more internal space and additional stability when moving
around in the boat. She uses the stitch and tape method of
construction. Depending upon the type of ply used, weight
will be around 55 lbs.
