The clinker scow is a very popular little dinghy on the South Coast of England. Many are raced regularly by enthusiasts and many a big boat sailor learnt their seamanship on boats such as these.
We were asked to draw up this example to replace a rotting example and so she encompasses many of the traditional features—fixed rudder blade, centreplate with simple lift and a lug rig making her excellent for single handed sailing. She has the very stable hull shape of the older scows and is constructed using the clinker ply process with moulds erected on a building jig.
