This beautiful example is under construction by Iain Tolhurst.

Based upon the Pinky fishing boats of Maine and Nova Scotia this neat craft, instead of carrying the traditional cargo of sardines has been laid out with a roomy accommodation for 4 or 5 people in 2 separate compartments. Her double ended hull and deep draft make her a very seaworthy craft. The gaff ketch rig is easily handled and the small self draining cockpit has been designed for ocean sailing.

LOD 34’5’’; LWL 28’0’’; Beam 11’0’’; Draft 5’4’’; Displ. 11.25 tons; Ballast 4.5 tons; Sail Area 700 sq.ft.; Headroom 6’2’’.

This design was one of our Professional series but is now under development for a client using the strip planked method of construction. Presently, the drawings available are the computer faired mould shapes, building jig drawing, hull construction drawing and details and a general arrangement drawing.
